This was a school assignment where we should create an app for a store, restaurant or something we felt needed a new one. I choose to do one for a restaurant where i used to work. I choose to do one for them partly because at the time quite a few new restuarant had opened nearby and I felt my old working place needed a little help to become more modern. We had about one week to create the app.

My thinking around this app was to make it feel quite luxurious and I also wanted it to mediate quality. I choose to do this because when people go to a restuarant they want to feel spoiled and that they get some thing they can’t get at home. So I wanted to create an app that gave you that feeling even before you went to the restaurant. Therefore i choose quite modest colors. Colors that I feel gives quite an “earthy” tone and feeling, which I think really fits a restuarant. I choose to use a quite modern font, to make the restaurant seem maybe more modern than it actually is. This was so it wouldn’t feel like “the same old” as could be the risk with so many new places opening nearby.
